'Think' The Way You Are 'Designed' To

Are Our Minds & Bodies Truly Connected?

Here is a better question: Where is the separation between the mind and body? Answer: THERE IS NO SEPARATION BETWEEN THE MIND AND BODY! It is a mainstream scientific fact that our thoughts, beliefs and emotions (both conscious and sub-conscious) directly and powerfully influence our physical bodies each and every moment of our lives! Fear, anxiety, hate and negativity break our bodies down chemically and we get sick. Love, hope, faith, joy, friendship and community literally build us up and make us strong.

Two human shapes

What is your mind focused on throughout the day?

Are you focused on positive things like love, health, joy and abundance? Or are you focused on negative things like sickness, war, death, hate, crime and poverty? Do you spend more time worrying about negative things, or do you regularly focus your mind on the positive things that you want to see in the world? Science has already validated that those people who are more positive-focused, have better health and have more control of their lives. Try writing down a description of your "ideal world"- The kind of world you want to see for yourself and all of our children.

What is YOUR Vision for the World?

Both scientific research and spiritual/cultural traditions have validated the following: Those people who are driven by a clear vision in their approach toward life, have better health and a higher quality of life. Make sure you take time each day to think about what kind of world you want to see, both now and in the future.

What Is The Purpose of Your Life?

Take time to clearly delineate a life-purpose statement for yourself. Hopefully, the purpose of your life involves fulfilling/actualizing your vision. Then get busy fulfilling your purpose! You'll be healthier and happier as a result.

What Are Affirmations?

Affirmations are positive statements designed to fill your 'mind's eye' with positive images and ideas. Your mind can not hold two thoughts or ideas simultaneously. So, if you fill your mind with positive, there will be NO opportunity for negative. We encourage our patients to make their own affirmations and recite them regularly. Here is the one that Dr. Collins has used. Click here for affirmation

Do You Write Down Your Goals?

The human mind is meant to be goal-oriented, we MUST have specific goals to be our best.
Each year, write down goals in the following categories:

1-Abundance/fi
nancial/money
2-Love & relat
ionships
3-Health
4-Joy/Recreation/Fun
5-Service to others
6-Miscellaneous

For each category write 3 goals, one 'long term' (sometime in your lifetime) and 2 'short term' (completed by end of coming year). Goals can overflow into more than one category. Make sure that each goals is 'S.M.A.R.T.' In other words, each goal must be: Specific, Measurable, they must contain written 'Action steps', they must be Realistic and they must have a specific due date or Time line. Make a habit of writing specific goals and you will change your life for the better!
